Thursday night it was a really lovely evening so we went to Newbury street and sat outside having supper and a bottle of vino! It was a long over due catch up!
Friday morning I went to work for a bit but then met Charlie for a hair of the dog drink at Top of The Hub so she could get a good view of Boston!
After that we went to the river and sat and had lunch... very chilled in the 90 degree heat!
After lunch we went for a walk through town and saw the ducklings and the beautiful flowers! Can you spot Charlie in the flowers!?
but then decided it was too hot and we needed a beer!
Saturday morning we got up early and headed to The Cape for the long weekend! As the weather wasn;t great we went to Province Town first... its somewhere you just have to see hey Charlie!
We got into our photography whilst there too - cool pics we think!
Eventually we had to head to the campsite and sit up our home! This is my new tent... da dah!!! It was a tad cosy!!!
After having a lovely meal at Abba with Meg, Luke, Emma and Rupert it was back home to the campsite where the boys made a fire and Meg taught us how to make smores! aka toasted marshmallows!
Sunday morning it was time to practice our open water swim for the impending triathlon!!! It was a tad chilly but actually really nice to swim in although the thought of swimming a mile vs a 1/4 mile is a tad daunting!!!
This is maggie - Emma and Rupert's dog who was watching us swim and wanting to come in!!
Sunday night we went to Dave and Lisa's for supper which was a really fun evening! Then on Monday we all met up for brunch in Dennis and then went to the beach.... what a super chilled day!!
Charlie even managed to go crabbing...
It was a lovely lovely long weekend and to have Charlie visiting was a lot of fun... so nice to hang out with an old mate and reminisce and catch up! Thanks for coming Charlie!
