Damian and Hazel come to visit

Last weekend seemed to take ages to arrive and then it went ridiculously quickly!


Damian and Hazel arrived on Thursday night having wined and dined their way across the atlantic in Business Class! It was SOOOOOO great to see them! Sometimes you can forget how incredible a friendship is but this weekend was a lovely lovely reminder!


Friday D&H went shopping... Natik Mall and Wrentham didn't know what had hit them! And nor did my flat when all the bags were in the hall... In the evening the celebrations kicked off, champagne at home and then off to Beacon Hill for dinner at Bin 26!


Saturday morning Hazel and I headed to Cambridge... it was a girlie day! We shopped, we lunched and of course we chatted and chatted and chatted!

In the evening it was time for Damian and Hazel to meet the Boston Damian and Hazel aka Luke and Meg! We all went for dinner in Cambridge and had a lovely evening chatting eating and drinking!

On Sunday it was time to go to the beach... we nearly decided not to given the fact that it was seriously pouring with rain!!! But we did go once we had filled ourselves up on a scrummy brunch at Union! Duxbury beach is the beach I found with Mum, Dad and Terry about 45 mins south of Boston. Its a really gorgeous beach and without the crowds its even more stunning! It was a really odd day weather wise really humid but gray and dull! But that being said it was perfect walking along the beach weather! The kite surfers were out having fun and there were horseshoe crabs on the beach - they were very cool in a prehistoric way!!



Monday morning Damian and Hazel left.... it was horrible coming home to my empty flat once they had gone. BUT it was lovely lovely lovely having them to visit for the weekend and to just slot back into the friendship just like we lived round the corner from each other.

Hazel and Damian left me a card... it says.........
Friendships don't just 'happen' but the best ones seem to fall into place right from the start, naturally and easily as if they were always meant to be.....
