Fun in the mountains again!

For Terry's last weekend in Boston we headed for The White Mountains once again this time to stay in North Woodstock and climb up to Lafayette peak.

It was an interesting drive.... about half way a state trooper was stood in the middle of I93 shouting GET OVER NOW and pointing to the side of the road..... very scary!!!! Terry had been driving a tad quick.... 82 in a 65....!! Naughty Terry and thank god for a UK driving licence, the state trooper wasn't impressed that he couldn't book us!!

Saturday morning after a hearty breakfast we started the climb... up and up and up as you can see it was very pretty!

Here's us all at the top of peak one... of three and we had we been hiking for 3 hours...!
On the way to peak 2 we stopped off to take some silly photos!

It was cloudy and quite chilly at the top so we didn't hang around for photos we headed straight down hill!! This is the view from half way down, you can see a bit of Lafayette on the right of the picture.


All in all we were hiking for 9 hours!!!

On the way back to our B&B we stopped for a beer in town in Gypsy cafe which was really cute so cute that we went back for dinner that night, coffee on Sunday morning and then Sundat lunch after we had checked out nearby Loon ski resort for the winter!!

All in all a lovely weekend away.... its REALLY nice to be sat on my sofa though right now with my blankie!!!
